Jun 24, 1780 from Walter Hanson Sr of CC, Gentleman, to Margaret Muschett, wife of John Muschett, of CC, Gentleman, for the natural love that he has for his daughter, the afd Margaret Muschett, and for 10 £, and for divers other good causes, one moiety or half part of a parcel of land now in the possession of sd Walter Hanson, lying on the west side of the easternmost branch of Nanjemoy Cr in CC, originally granted to James Lindsay and afterwards became the right of Archibald Wanchob and granted by him to Elizabeth, the wife of Philip Hoskins, grandfather to Elizabeth Hanson, late wife to the sd Walter Hanson, party to these presents, by whom the s dWalter Hanson has an estate for life in the afd parcel of land common lycalled Lindsey, and this estate for life is what is now intended to b emade over to the sd Margaret Muschett. Sep 12, 1780 from Henry Reeder of St. Mary's County, Gentleman, and Elizabeth, his wife, to John Muschett Jr of CC, Gentleman, for 16,000 lbs of crop tobacco to them paid by John Muschett, and for divers other good causes, all their right to one moiety or half part of a certain tract of land on the west side of the easternmost branch of Nanjemoy Cr in CC, which they have now in possession, originally granted to James Lindsay, and commonly called Lindsay, the sd moiety containing about 200 acres, and which became the property of sd Elizabeth, the wife of sd Henry Reeder, by deed "from her Mary Cunningham" dated Jan 4, 1755, sd Mary Cunningham being mother to the sd Elizabeth Reeder, and one of the daughters and co-heirs of William Hoskins, late of CC, decd. Signed - Henry Reeder ,Elizabeth Reeder. Wit -Jeremiah Jordan, John De Butts. Timothy Bowes, Clerk of St. Mary's County, certified that sd Jordan and De Butts are JP sin St. Mary's County.
