1779 - John and Mary Ann Hawley built a home in 1779 in Loudoun County, Va. on 198 acres adjoining Difficult Run at the border of Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, Va. The home has been restored and an adddtion added to the rear. It is believed that John is buried in the family cemetery behind the home in an unmarked grave.

Robert Latham was the minister of the Little River Baptist Church in Aldie, Loudoun Co., Va. where John and Mary Ann were members. James McKim was an elder of the Church.
