- Opal Tindel Cooper, age 87, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 9, 2015 in Andrews, Texas.
Opal is survived by daughters Jimmie Laverne Henderson of LaPorte, Texas, Helen Lynn Nelson of Andrews, Texas; Gary Dean Cooper and wife Kittie of Midland, Texas; brothers Troy Tindel, Benny Tindel, Johnny Tindel; sisters Pauline (Punky) Snider and Connie Wood; five grandchildren Tami Stefanatos of Las Vegas, Amy Hammond of Midland, Texas, Todd Reese of Lubbock, Texas, First Sargent Chris Cooper of Copperas Cove, Texas, Miranda Chadwick of Midland, Texas; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jimmy Henry Cooper December 8, 1995. They were married April 13, 1946. She was also preceded in death by brothers James Tindel, Leesa Jo Rinaldi, Linnie Riddle, and Helen Bell.
On April 9, 2015, Opal went to heaven. She lived a wonderful life on this earth for 87 years. She can now walk pain-free and join so many family and friends in Heaven. She was one of the most ornery, spunky, feisty, and precious people we?ve ever known. She was a very avid animal lover. She was a very classy lady who loved to dress up nice, very out-spoken, and loved to debate politics. We will miss her very much.
