The postcard of her was in 1865, at which time she was 23 years old. They mistakenly calculated her birth as though she died the year of the postcard. She actually died at age 35.

The agent of Miss Kate Keathley (Keithley), the Missouri giantess, was telegraphed at this city Wednesday morning to the effect that Miss K. died on Saturday last, at her home, about twenty-five miles from St. Louis. She had just returned from a trip to Omaha. Many people all over the country will remember Miss Keathley, probably the heaviest woman ever exhibited. She weighed 812 pounds. (sic: postcard said 675 lbs) Her education was much better than is usually possessed by persons of her class and she was able to converse intelligently and agreeably with her visitors. === Cleveland Ohio Herald, July 23rd.
