  Notes	1833 Sep 7: Rappahannock Co. Deeds, Vol. A, p 121 (GS #033,660) Edward Duke made a trust deed or mortgage to Minor Gibson, of same place, for Moses Gibson. In this trust deed he mortgaged "everything he owned" in payment of a $75.00 debt, owed to Moses Gibson. Signed Edward (X) Duke. Index to Constables' Returns From April 1833 to March 28th 1860. 8 Feb 1838 "Edward Duke administrator of Edward Duke Decd vs Joseph M. Longacre Debt Thirty five dollars. Damage Twenty dollars .. Debt on single Bill Bail is required (Benefit of J Richards Nicklin) As he is not in the 1840 census, it would appear that he either died or left the state between 23 Sep 1833 and the 1840 census. They possibly had a daughter Malinda who married John Warner.
