Jean Abell McCoy
61, of California, formerly of Assumption, died at 1:20 a.m. Friday at her residence. She was preceded in death by a brother. Surviving are her husband, Maurice; one son, William "Bill" of Orange, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Rich (Connie) Briggs of Placentia, Calif.; two brothers, Preston Hott of Springfield and Tom Hott of Decatur; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption Christian Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Assumption. Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption, is in charge of arrangements.
