  Notes	James Menees settled in Davidson Co TN (still NC at the time)in 1780 on land grant property issued to him due to Rev War service. His 19 yr old nephew, (Rev) James Whitsett joined him there in 1790. James Whitsett's mother was a sister to James Menees. James Whitsett then married his 1st cousin, the daughter of James Menees. James Menees and James Whitsett started Mill Creek Baptist church in the 1790s and James Whitsett pastored it for 50 yrs. (Priscilla M. Thomas Brown) [2]
