  Notes	Samuel David Forman Jr. was very active in the American Legion after World War I. In 1944 he was elected Texas State Commander. He was well liked by everyone. He always had a kind word, never spoke ill of people. I have many photos of him, and lots of post cards of the "dough boys" from WWI. His portrait hangs in the State American Legion Headquarters in Austin, Texas. He worked for over 35 years for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
